Capítulo 7: Habitantes del bosque
Desde hace tiempo, los bosques lluviosos tropicales han sido el hogar de indígenas que desarrollaron civilizaciones y culturas basadas
en el medio ambiente circundante. Las grandes civilizaciones como los mayas, incas y aztecas, desarrollaron sociedades
complejas e hicieron grandes contribuciones para la ciencia. Al depender de la naturaleza y carecer de la tecnología para dominar su
ambiente, los nativos aprendieron a observar sus alrededores y a entender la complejidad del bosque lluvioso.
A través de las generaciones, esta gente ha logrado comprender la importancia de vivir dentro de su ambiente, y depende de los
múltiples beneficios renovables que el bosque le ofrece.
